Overgrown land, cleared and ready to use.
Whether you're building a house or a shop, reclaiming a field, opening up a fence line or just taking back an overgrown back acre, we clear it with our own Kubota excavator and forestry mulching head.
Mulching turns brush, briars and small trees into a layer of chips right on the ground. There are no burn piles, no truckloads of debris, and the soil is protected from washing out while you get the site ready.
Forestry mulching
Our excavator-mounted mulcher grinds standing brush and trees up to a good size into mulch, and it can reach into ditches, along creek banks and around the trees you want to keep. It's selective. We can clear the understory and leave the good hardwoods standing, or take everything down to the ground.
The mulch layer it leaves behind breaks down over time, holds moisture and keeps erosion in check, which matters on the sandy soils and low ground we have around here.
Full clearing for building
For a house pad, driveway or building site, we can take larger trees down, grind or pull the stumps, and leave the ground ready for your grading contractor. Tell us what the site is for and we'll clear it to suit, rather than leaving you to deal with roots in your foundation later.
Fence lines, trails and firebreaks
Overgrown fence rows, trails, hunting lanes and firebreaks are ideal mulching jobs. We cut a clean path through without disturbing the ground more than we need to.
What’s included
- Site walk to agree exactly what stays and what goes
- Forestry mulching of brush, briars and small trees
- Larger trees felled and removed or mulched
- Stump grinding or removal where you're building
- No burn piles and no debris left behind
What affects the price
Every job is priced on site, for free. These are the things that move the number, so you know what we’re looking at when we walk your yard.
How much ground needs clearing.
Light brush goes fast; thick pine regrowth and hardwood takes longer.
Selective clearing around keeper trees takes more care than clearing everything.
Whether stumps need grinding or pulling for a building site.
Wet or steep ground can slow the machines down.
Recent lot clearing jobs.
How big a tree can the mulcher handle?
It handles brush and small-to-medium trees easily. Bigger trees we cut down first, then mulch the tops or haul the wood. We'll tell you at the site walk what can be mulched and what needs cutting.
Do you clear land for new houses?
Yes. We clear house sites, driveways and shop pads, and deal with the stumps so the site is ready for grading.
What happens to all the wood?
Brush and small trees become mulch on site. Larger hardwood usually comes back to our yard to be split for firewood, and we can leave logs for you if you'd like them.
Tell us about the tree. We'll take it from there.
Send a few photos and your address. We usually get back to you the same day.
